PUMA has released a second version of its FAST-RB NITRO Elite 2, designed to exceed World Athletics' rules. The shoe, priced at €350, features two carbon-fiber plates, violating the single-plate rule.

The shoe's midsole includes fused carbon-fiber plates within NITROFOAM Elite foam. PUMA's own material states it is not legal for racing. The stack height remains unclear, but its predecessor exceeded the 40mm limit. Read more gear coverage.

The FAST-RB NITRO Elite 2 is lighter and more breathable than its predecessor. It will be available in more markets, including Latin America. PUMA claims it offers the highest energy return in their testing. Related: Puma RB Nitro Elite 2: A High-Performance Racing Shoe.
