Christopher Morales Williams of Vaughan, Ont., won the men’s 400m at the World Athletics Continental Tour in Rovereto, Italy. The 22-year-old finished in 44.64 seconds, just over half a second behind his Canadian record. The event saw five new meeting records and notable performances from other Canadians.

Ottawa’s Eliezer Adjibi placed third in the men’s 100m with a time of 10.09 seconds. Lucia Stafford from Canada finished sixth in the women’s 1,500m with a time of 4:03.88.
