European Indoor Championships Qualifier Tracker

James Rhodes brings you a helpful guide to the athletes who have qualified for the European Indoor Championships, which take place between 6 and 9 March in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. 

This tracker will be updated regularly; however, performances from within the past three days may not yet be incorporated. A full copy of UKA’s selection policy can be found at this link. This includes the ways in which athletes can qualify. The British Indoor Championships (22-23 February in Birmingham) will act as the trial event for the European Indoor Championships.

Last year’s edition, held in Istanbul, provided two gold medals in the middle distance events, for Keely Hodgkinson (800m) and Laura Muir (1500m). In addition, Neil Gourley win silver in the 1500m and Melissa Courtney-Bryant bronze in the 3000m.

Qualifying Standards

Standards need to be achieved between 24 February 2024 and 23 February 2025, with separate standards for indoor and outdoor performances.

Men

  • 800m: 1:46.40 (1:45.50 outdoor).
  • 1500m: 3:37.00 (3:32.00 outdoor).
  • 3000m: 7:43.00 (7:36.00 outdoor).

Women

  • 800m: 2:02.00 (1:59.00 outdoor).
  • 1500m: 4:08.00 (4:02.00 outdoor).
  • 3000m: 8:48.00 (8:39.00 outdoor).
