Holiday Themed Group Run: Gingerbread Chase 🎄
Get ready for a holiday adventure like no other! Tonight, December 12th, we’re kicking off the festive season with a unique and fun-filled group run: the Gingerbread Chase. Join us at the 605 Running Company Downtown Store at 6:05 PM for a gingerbread-themed event that’s part race, part scavenger hunt, and all about holiday cheer.
Here’s how it works:
- The Gingerbread Man: I, Greg Koch, Owner of 605 Running Company, will be channeling the Gingerbread Man for this event. Your mission? Run, run as fast as you can to catch me!
- The Hunt: Participants will receive a list of participating Downtown businesses where I might be hiding.
- The Prize: Be the first to “catch” me at one of the locations, and you’ll win a special gift from the Gingerbread Man.
- The Challenge: Once caught, I’ll move to a new location, and the chase continues until 7:00 PM.
After the chase, we’ll gather back at the shop for some well-deserved holiday cheer. Don’t forget to wear your best gingerbread-themed costume or any festive attire to add to the fun!

Kickoff to the 12 Days of 5Ks
Tonight’s Gingerbread Chase is also the start of a new special holiday tradition of my own: The 12 Days of 5Ks! Over the next twelve days, I’ll be running a 5K each day with a different member of our running community. This is more than just a challenge; it’s a celebration of the amazing people who make our running community so vibrant.
Each day, I’ll share a social media post highlighting my latest running guest and their insights, and I’ll update this blog with stories and notes from our runs. Together, we’ll spread holiday cheer, one 5K at a time.
