10 fastest UK parkrun times on 14th September (2024)

Grace Baker and David Bishop ran the fastest parkrun times in the UK this weekend (14th September).

Our weekly parkrun top ten is now sponsored by the Coggiola Endurance Centre, a residential coaching and performance facility in the Italian Alps. Follow on Instagram for more updates in the new future.

As the Baker said to the Bishop isn’t the British saying, but it does cover our men’s and women’s fastest parkruns this week.

Grace Baker was the fastest woman at Hastings parkrun on the south coast of England with a 16:56 for the local Hastings AC athlete. It’s the first time under 17 minutes for the 2:48 marathoner and maybe we’ll see that OB in trouble in an autumn marathon now?

David Bishop was the fastest chap with 14:59, just squeezing under the 15 minute barrier for the Team Derby Runner runner. I just wanted to put runner twice there. It wasn’t a parkrun PB for the 2:17 marathoner, that’s 14:43, but we haven’t seen a road 5k under 15 yet for Mr. Bishop. All eyes might be on a return to Valencia where he set his excellent marathon PB in 2023.

The best of the rest?

It was joint second for the next two ladies with Hannah Gilliland and Daisy Glover both running 17:06 at Belfast Victoria and Holkham parkrun respectively.

The men’s podium was completed by Quinn Mill-Ingram in 15:00 flat, just one second behind first spot, and Dylan Gillett in 15:14, who was just one second ahead of two runners in 15:15.

Remember to finish fast at parkrun even without anyone nearby, as you might be virtually battling for that podium on our lists.

The fastest course?

Bushy and Poole feature three times, but the fast seafront of Poole takes it with higher average positions and the second place in the men’s rankings.
