Olympic Champion Keely Hodgkinson will return to this year’s London Diamond League meeting on Saturday 19 July, her first time competing in the UK since success in Paris.
Keely Hodgkinson will race at the London Athletics Meet when it returns to the Olympic Stadium on Saturday 19 July, organisers have announced. After injury ruled her out of the Keely Klassic in February, it will be her first time competing in the UK since winning gold at last summer’s Olympic Games.
At last year’s edition, Hodgkinson ran 1:54.61 to move to sixth on the all-time list for the women’s 800m. That time improved her own British Record and was the fastest time of 2024. She remained undefeated over the distance last year, also winning the European Championships in Rome.
“I remember after last year’s race thinking, ‘Can we do that all over again?’. It was such a dream to compete in the Olympic stadium and I’m so excited to get back out there and see what I can do“.

She joins the previously announced Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Josh Kerr, who will race over 1500m.
The London Athletics Meet is part of the Wanda Diamond League and the eleventh meeting of the 2025 season.
