10 fastest UK parkrun times on 12th April 2025

Sophie Richmond and Iain Jordan ran the fastest parkrun times in the UK this week (Saturday 12th April).

Our weekly parkrun top ten is sponsored by the Coggiola Endurance Centre, a residential coaching and performance facility in the Italian Alps. Follow on Instagram for more updates in the new future.

Sophie Richmond sits at the top of this weekend’s rankings, after running 17:04 at Hastings parkrun. That is an eleven second improvement on the U17 athlete’s previous parkrun PB, set on the same course in February. It was evidently a good day to be beside the seaside! Sophie’s had a good cross country season to start the year, which included wins at the Kent County Championships and a fifth place finish at the English Schools. A first outing on the track will likely come soon based on last summer.

On the men’s side, it is Iain Jordan of Perth Strathtay Harriers who ran the fastest time this week. At his home Perth parkrun, he finished in 14:55 – the only athlete to run under fifteen minutes this weekend. It is an impressive run, his first time sub-15 minutes on this course, or at all – parkrun, on the roads or on the track. His previous fastest parkrun was 15:18, same course in February, whilst his 5k best is 15:19.

Best of the Rest

It was close finish in the (hypothetical) race to the podium, where six seconds separated the top-three. Charlie Thornton’s 17:06 at Doddington Hall sees her take second, whilst 17:10 by Amy Clements at Sutcliffe puts her third. It wasn’t quite as close on the men’s side, with Joe Crutchley’s 15:16 at Southwark and Aiden Lennan’s 15:20 at Southsea completing the podium.

Fastest Course

Impressively, 19 courses feature across the two top-ten lists this weekend. Perhaps having many athletes competing at the National Road Relays in Sutton Park has helped with geographic spread. As the only course to feature twice, Battersea takes the honours this weekend. It’s back..!
